This course is aimed at undergaduate students with little programming experience.

It provides an introduction to the fundamental principles and techniques of software development that have greatest impact on practice. Important topics include software life cycle models; testing; design patterns for object-oriented programming; and cost estimation techniques. It also aims to help students to feel confident of their ability to write small programs that allow them to accomplish useful goals.

The class will use the C# programming language.
